Virgin Islands Department of Education State Office of Special Education Invites Parents to Join Advisory Panel on Special Education
The Virgin Islands Department of Education's State Office of Special Education (SOSE) invites parents of children with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) who receive special education or related services through the Division of Special Education to join the Virgin Islands Advisory Panel on Special Education.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with SOSE leaders, learn about the panel’s important role, and contribute to the future of special education in the Virgin Islands. To further facilitate open dialogue, SOSE is hosting Conversational Coffee & Tea with SOSE in both districts:
-
St. Thomas-St. John District: Charlotte Amalie High School 9th Grade Academy Wing
Date: Saturday, December 14, 2024 Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - St. Croix District: St. Croix Educational Complex Library
Date: Saturday, December 21, 2024 Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
These gatherings provide a casual, interactive space for parents to meet with SOSE staff, share their experiences, and explore ways to advocate for and support their children’s education.
