St. Thomas-St. John District Registration Office Closed Due to Confirmed Case of COVID-19, Operations Continue Online
December 23, 2020
The Virgin Islands Department of Education, St. Thomas-St. John District, has suspended in-person interactions at its Registration Office, located at the Curriculum Center (EWAA), due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 reported on Dec. 22.
Other offices at the Curriculum Center have not been impacted and will remain open to the public.
Registration services will continue online or via a drop box at the Curriculum Center while the office is deep cleaned and is expected to reopen following the annual Christmas holiday break.
Four of the office’s five employees worked in the isolated space during the likely period of exposure. Those employees have undergone COVID-19 testing and will remain in quarantine, as will the affected employee, until a negative COVID-19 test result is supplied to managers.
Parents requiring public school registration services should note the following:
- A secure drop box is located outside the Registration Office
- Registration information available above the drop box include:
- Manual registration application
- List of registration documents needed to complete the registration process
- List of step-by-step online registration process
- The drop box is checked each afternoon
Parents with questions or concerns may send email to sttregisration@vide.vi.
