Districtwide School Staff Meetings Inspire
In an effort to better serve its school-based employees, Superintendents Stefan Jurgen and Carlos McGregor conducted a one-day, districtwide meeting with all school staff in January to show appreciation for their work, as well as to inform employees of important developments within the Department and district, and to seek employees’ feedback on a range of important topics.
The meetings could be described as part motivational and part introspective. From riveting presentations from educational leaders within the district to a series of survey questions about quality of their working environment and the functions of the Department of Education, the meetings sought to give employees the opportunity to share their thoughts with leadership as the Department of Education seeks to transform both its internal and external operations.
